"Basic Black" is a weekly half hour public affairs talk show program that focuses on topics ranging from topical news events, to politics to culture.
*Producing*
In my role as a producer, each week I find multiple qualified guests to fill our panel discussion. I assist our moderator prepare by researching the topic thoroughly. I assist with providing graphic fonts, chyrons, b-roll, conduct field interviews which include the likes of Howard University President, Wayne Frederick, Ph.D., Grammy Award-winning artist, Terri Lynn Carrington, NBA players, Terry Rozier and Marcus Morris, actor Russell Hornsby and co-produced an interview segment with award-winning actor Billy Porter in addition to local interviews with officials and community stakeholders.
In addition to show prep duties, I assist guests the day of the live show, order refreshments for guests.
I also oversee all digital operations for the show including posting and creating original content for social media and our CMS platform. Under my leadership, the show’s digital footprint has grown substantially and organically in likes, follows and audience engagement. Part of the content creation includes editing and producing promotional videos and livestreaming efforts.
Lastly, I help oversee interns for the show.

I also served as a co-producer for the All Rev'd Up Podcast.
I help lead editorial meetings for the podcast, source sound and video clips for podcast. I edit video content of the podcast.
I oversee social media content to market and promote podcast through video clips and audiograms.
Worked with other entities to find cross promotion opportunities for podcast.

I occasionally report television feature stories for GBH 'Greater Boston' focused on issues within the Greater Boston region. I arrange and conduct interviews, research stories and write copy.
